The projects in Applied Medical Systems aim to solve clinical problems through combinations of novel hardware, algorithms, and clinical research. We work closely with doctors and surgeons to understand the nature of important clinical needs, such as radiation therapy, In Vitro Fertilization, minimally-invasive ear-surgery, intravenous (IV) catheterization, and colonoscopy, so that we can design an elegant robotic solution.
- Force Control of a Permanent Magnet for Minimally-Invasive Procedures
- GI, Colonoscopy Robots
- HaemoBot: Robotic IV Catheter Insertion
- Magnetic Air Kinematic Joints for Minimally-Invasive Imaging in the Inner Ear
- Real-Time Image Mosaicing for Microscopy
- Robotic Catheter Characterization and Sensing
- Robotic Ultrasound Guidance of Radiation Therapy
- Time Lapse of Human Embryos for Image In Vitro Fertilization
